Sensi Seeds’ award history lists Jack Herer as a 1994 Cannabis Cup winner, first in the 1999 Cannabis Cup sativa category and first in the 1999 Highlife Cup hydro category. Its list also records first places in three 2003 Highlife Cup categories and a 2004 Highlife Cup hydro win.7 Weedmaps repeats the 1994 Cannabis Cup and 1999 sativa results.2

The name honors Jack Herer, not a breeder persona. He published The Emperor Wears No Clothes in 1985, directed Help End Marijuana Prohibition and ran for U.S. president in 1988 and 1992, according to Wikipedia.6 A child strain, Critical Jack, is listed by Dinafem and Leafly as Critical+ × Jack Herer.8,9
